UCSD’s Cognitive Science Student Association hosts the Cognitive Science Conference every year, and this is our 11th conference! This year’s theme is Cognition at Work, which will highlight the inner mechanisms of the brain along with the practical applications of cognition in the real world.

All courses must be taken for letter grade, with at least a C- earned in each one. The following courses will give you the best understanding of the discipline of Cognitive Science: Lower-Division Requirements 2018-10-21 Cognitive Science is normally taught at the postgraduate level. However we also provide an undergraduate module entitled “COMP 20090: An Introduction to Cognitive Science”, taught in the Spring semester. The course webpage is here. The first year is devoted to familiarizing the student with the findings and current problems in cognitive science through Foundations and Issues courses. In order to understand the mind/brain, cognitive science brings together methods and discoveries from neuroscience, psychology, linguistics, philosophy, and computer science.
